Doesn't "fille" mean young girl? Nothing young or girly about this scent...expect a straight-forward Lutens composition of resins, spice and fruit.
Nuits de Cellophane was a vast departure for Serge that had some of us worrying. Fear not though, FenA is back to what we know and love, although I can't help but feel like wanting more. You get pretty much what you'd expect - a smokey, piney opening with sweet, burnt sugar accents (immortelle?), followed by a lovely transparent incense with very faint fruit notes. Take a few drops of Chypre Rouge, add it to Amouage's Jubilation XXV and stir.
Yes, I understand the brilliance of the Lutens style is that of emphasization. Here the already present pine-stylings within incense are brought to the front for all to enjoy. It's perfectly lovely, but it just doesn't thrill me. Also, it's a tad too strong.
